An experienced sector competent chemist and scientific advisor in emergency response, hazardous materials / CBRN and DIM response. Josh has been developing extensive relationships with UK (and international) Fire and Rescue services over the past 9 years since first being introduced to the sector as a developmental chemist, developing and formulating firefighting foam concentrates.
Josh’s expertise as an emergency response scientific advisor spans firefighter / first responder to tactical scene management for incidents involving dangerous substances or industrial chemicals. Not only has Josh directly advised at incidents involving hazardous substances but he has a wide teaching and instructing skillset.
Being the lead chemist of the hazardous materials department at the Fire Service College before moving to the National Chemical Emergency Centre and now the lead scientist for Collective Resilience Ltd, Josh has taught at foundational and senior levels of response. His experience in instructing and teaching across subjects such as fire protection, fire craft and hazardous materials / CBRN and DIM is extensive. His applied science in the realm of emergency response sets him apart from his peers.
